A Landscaping or Groundskeeping Worker provides landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Provides care for plants and trees including mowing, trimming and planting, and repairs driveways, walks, benches or other structures.
The Telecom Aerial Groundman provides essential support to aerial linemen during the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead telecommunication lines. This position is responsible for assisting with job site preparation, ensuring safety protocols are followed, managing tools and materials, and maintaining efficient workflow from the ground.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist linemen by supplying tools, equipment, and materials during aerial line work Handle and prepare fiber optic or copper cables for installation Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment (e.g., winches, cable pullers, etc.) Ensure safety measures are followed and help set up work zone protection, including cones and signs Load and unload materials from trucks; maintain an organized job site Pull cables through conduit and up poles as directed Perform basic site cleanup after work completion Communicate effectively with linemen and other crew members to maintain workflow Follow all company and OSHA safety standards and practices
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) 0-2 years of experience in telecom or construction (preferred but not required) Must be able to work in outdoor environments and various weather conditions Comfortable with physical labor including lifting up to 75 lbs, digging, pulling cable Ability to work near heights (supporting climbers from the ground) Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus Knowledge of telecom materials, tools, and safety practices is a plus
