In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of landscape maintenance tasks to ensure parks, gardens, and grounds are healthy, safe, and visually appealing. Duties Operate groundskeeping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, fertilizing, and weed control to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, removal, and health assessments to ensure safety and vitality. Apply pesticides and herbicides following safety protocols to control pests and weeds effectively. Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols during outdoor work activities and operating equipment responsibly. Assist with snow plowing and removal during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for pedestrians. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with groundskeeping or landscaping preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools for safe operation and maintenance. Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, gardening, tree care, and hardscape upkeep. Ability to identify various plants, trees, pests, and diseases relevant to horticulture. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Knowledge of pesticide management procedures in compliance with safety standards. Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, operating machinery, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
