Under the direction of the Director of Facilities Management, complete the lawn mowing, trimming, and landscaping at all County properties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and in a timely manner. The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned. Ability to operate lawnmowers, trimmers, and other equipment used for lawn maintenance and landscaping in a safe manner. Ability to work under supervision and follow directions. Ability to display Initiative, critical thinking, exercise good judgment and assume responsibility.Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience; High School - at least 16 years of age with knowledge of mowers, power equipment, and vehicles.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Valid Driver's License. Ability to exercise good judgment and work in a pleasant manner with others. Good Communication Skills Obey all safety rules and regulations Promote a positive image of Langlade County at all times Some experience operating lawn equipment, small power tools, trucks and trailers Any small engine, mechanical skills for minor repairs on lawn equipment. May include weeding, planting, and other general landscape tasks After storms, remove broken or falling branches. Seasonal tasks may include leaf cleanup and snow plowing Establish and maintain trees, shrubs, planting beds Assist with set up, take down, and movement of materials for events in county facilities' Apply paint products Use of different style ladders Monitor activities in and around work areas for purposes of prevent injuries and ensure site safety Work with specific job-related data using problem solving to identify issues and adapt to changing work priorities with interruptionsTechnological Skills:
