Landscaping Crew Member Mares Excavating & Landscape is looking for a hardworking, dependable, and motivated Landscaping Crew Member to join our team. This position is hands-on and involves working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well with a team, and is willing to learn and take on new responsibilities. Responsibilities Assist with landscape installation and maintenance projects Prepare and grade soil for landscaping projects Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants Install mulch, decorative rock, edging, and landscape materials Assist with patios, retaining walls, walkways, and other hardscape projects Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment Perform lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and cleanup Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment Maintain a clean and organized job site Follow safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment Work efficiently and cooperatively with other crew members Assist with general excavation and construction tasks as needed Communicate professionally with customers and team members Complete projects with attention to detail and pride in workmanship Qualifications Previous landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred, but willing to train the right person Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Good attention to detail Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently Valid driver's license preferred Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, motivated, and takes pride in a job well done . Someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, can work at a fast pace, and wants to learn and grow with our company. Experience with skid steers, mini excavators, zero-turn mowers, trimmers, or other landscaping/construction equipment is a plus.
