As our Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll take ownership of keeping our building, equipment, and grounds safe, functional, and operating at their best. From preventative maintenance and repairs to facility improvements, no two days are exactly the same and your work will have a direct impact on our employees, production team, and customers.
What You'll Be Taking Care Of:
Own the general upkeep and maintenance of our building, offices, restrooms, common areas, and property. Handle everyday facility repairs including plumbing, basic electrical, lighting, drywall, painting, carpentry, doors, fixtures, and minor repairs. Maintain our grounds and exterior property, including landscaping, seasonal upkeep, pond care, roof/exterior checks, minor blacktop repairs, pressure washing, and other outdoor needs. Keep facility areas clean, organized, stocked, and well maintained, including coordinating or assisting with janitorial needs. Perform facility-focused preventative maintenance and inspections and identify issues before they become larger problems. Coordinate outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are needed. Help with occasional facility equipment needs such as dock doors, air compressors, forklifts, cranes, and basic shop tools. Build or modify basic shelving, workstations, benches, fixtures, and other items needed throughout the facility. Assist with light fabrication or welding occasionally when your skills and the need align What You Bring to the
Table:
2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Comfortable performing general facility maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, painting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Welding experience is a plus. A proactive mindset, you notice issues before they become problems and take ownership of finding solutions. Strong troubleshooting skills and the resourcefulness to know when to handle a repair yourself and when to bring in the right partner. Clear communication and professionalism when working with coworkers, contractors, and vendors. The ability to work independently, prioritize your day, and follow through without constant direction. Able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work indoors or outdoors as the job requires. Why Washworld?
