Responsibilities Mow lawns using power mowers and hand tools to ensure healthy, well-manicured turf Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, trimming, and pruning trees and shrubs Operate landscaping equipment including excavators, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools safely and efficiently Assist with planting, gardening, and irrigation setup to promote healthy plant growth Maintain hardscape features such as pathways, patios, and retaining walls through cleaning and minor repairs Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance Skills Mechanical knowledge for operating various landscaping machinery and hand tools Strong lawn care skills including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration Experience with landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, planting, and irrigation system installation Knowledge of horticulture principles to support healthy plant growth and garden design Ability to use power tools safely and effectively in outdoor environments Familiarity with tree care practices including trimming and tree health assessment Basic understanding of construction techniques related to hardscape installation or repair Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials as needed This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise across multiple facets of landscape management while contributing to the beauty of outdoor environments.
