Job Description

Our client a top multi-family property management company is seeking to hire a Groundskeeper/Landscaper for their Madison area properties. This is a full-time position that pays $21-$22/hour and works standard hours 8am-4:30pm M-F . It also includes a generous benefits package of health, vision, dental insurance, and 401(k) with company match after 30 days of service. We are seeking a candidate with 1+ years of experience in grounds maintenance inside a large apartment complex setting. This role will require a valid driver's license with good driving record and auto insurance as well as a reliable vehicle to travel between local properties in the Madison area. Position Overview This role will support multiple properties in Madison, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outside to maintain the properties appearances. The Groundskeeper will ensure the community grounds remain clean and visually appealing. He or she will be tasked with caring for lawns, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and ground cover to ensure they remain green and healthy.
Key Duties:
Janitorial Pick up litter daily Sweep/blow breezeways Clean areas around dumpsters Clean out vacant apartments Clean common spaces, hallways, laundry room, etc. Grounds (unless performed by sub-contractor) Water trees, bushes, and flower beds. Use insecticides, fertilizers and herbicides as needed to prevent weeds and ensure the lawn, trees, bushes, and flower beds remain healthy. Reseed lawn and replant, if necessary. Properly prune trees and shrubs. Weed lawns and all other planted areas. Make drainage corrections. General Maintenance Assist in Make-Readies and other maintenance work as directed. Qualifications 1+ year of ground maintenance experience Valid driver's license with good driving record and auto insurance. Reliable vehicle to travel between local properties High School diploma or
