Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable Landscape Laborer to assist with the care and maintenance of newly installed trees, shrubs, and landscape plantings at residential and commercial development sites. The primary responsibility of this position is watering trees and plants to ensure healthy establishment. This is an entry-level position requiring reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Essential Responsibilities Water newly planted trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscape materials according to established schedules. Monitor soil moisture and adjust watering as directed by supervisors. Inspect plants for signs of stress, damage, pests, or disease and report concerns promptly. Fill, operate, and maintain water tanks, hoses, pumps, and other watering equipment. Perform light landscape maintenance, including weeding, mulching, debris removal, and cleanup around planting areas. Assist with planting, staking, and minor landscape installation as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for company tools and equipment. Follow all company safety procedures and job site requirements. Qualifications No prior landscaping experience is required; training will be provided. Valid driver's license is needed. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Dependable with good attendance and punctuality. Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, and wet weather conditions. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods. Ability to safely operate hoses, watering equipment, and basic hand tools. Work Schedule Full-time or part-time, depending on seasonal workload. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required during peak watering season. This position plays an important role in ensuring the successful establishment and long-term health of newly installed landscape materials at development sites.
