Position Summary The Grounds Crew Member helps maintain a safe, attractive, and playable golf course. This position performs daily landscape, turf, and course-maintenance duties, including mowing, trimming, raking, irrigation support, equipment care, and cleanup. Successful candidates are dependable, able to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, and committed to maintaining high standards of course presentation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mow greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas according to assigned schedules and course standards. Edge, trim, blow, rake, weed, and maintain landscaping around bunkers, cart paths, buildings, trees, water features, and other course areas. Rake and maintain bunkers; repair divots, ball marks, and worn turf as directed. Assist with irrigation-system operation, including checking sprinkler heads, reporting leaks or damage, moving hoses, and performing basic repairs when trained. Help with seasonal maintenance projects such as aeration, overseeding, topdressing, sod installation, leaf removal, drainage work, and debris cleanup. Prepare the course for daily play, tournaments, special events, and adverse weather conditions. Operate assigned equipment safely, including mowers, utility vehicles, trimmers, blowers, hand tools, and small power equipment. Clean, fuel, inspect, and report maintenance needs for equipment; maintain a clean and organized maintenance area. Collect trash and maintain clean, orderly grounds, parking areas, maintenance facilities, and common areas. Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of chemicals, fuels, and equipment. Communicate hazards, irrigation issues, equipment damage, or course-condition concerns promptly to the supervisor. Perform other grounds and golf-course maintenance duties as assigned. Morning Cleaning inside the Bar and Restaurant Qualifications Basic knowledge of mowing, landscaping tools, and outdoor equipment is helpful. Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and contribute effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, professional course appearance. Reliable attendance and willingness to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and seasonal overtime as needed. Valid driver's license preferred; ability to safely operate golf carts and utility vehicles may be required. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in heat, cold, rain, wind, and other weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate outdoor maintenance equipment and work near moving vehicles, golf carts, and golfers. Ability to start work early, often before sunrise, based on course-maintenance schedules. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating reel or rotary mowers. Familiarity with golf-course maintenance practices, including greens care, bunker maintenance, and irrigation. Knowledge of basic turfgrass, landscaping, and plant-care practices. Pesticide applicator certification, or willingness to obtain certification where required. Experience with small-engine maintenance or equipment repair. Work Environment This role is primarily performed outdoors on an active golf course. Employees may be exposed to changing weather, loud equipment, uneven terrain, dust, fertilizers, pesticides, fuels, and other maintenance-related materials. Grounds Crew Members must remain aware of golfers, coworkers, vehicles, and course operations at all times.

Pay:

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
