Company intro: Wildlife Building Supplies is a locally owned and growing building supplies retailer seeking to fill a Yard Crew/Delivery Driver position. The ideal candidate is organized, customer service-oriented, and able to communicate effectively independently and as part of a team. This position involves yard duties, including loading and unloading, organizing materials, and operating equipment, and delivery responsibilities, such as safe driving, timely delivery, and customer interaction.

We are currently seeking to fill a Yard Crew/Delivery Driver position: one full-time role.

Pay:

$18-23/ hourly

Shift :

Day shift 8a-4p

Workdays :

Monday to Friday and Saturdays as needed

JOB DESCRIPTION

Yard Crew Responsibilities

• Yard organization &

Maintenance:

Keep the yard clean, organized, and hazard-free.

• Ensure surrounding buildings are safe and visually appealing, i.e., snow removal and general maintenance

•

Material Handling:

Load and unload materials, including heavy items, to and from trucks and trailers. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 pounds.

•

Equipment Operation:

Operate yard equipment, i.e., forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard tractor

•

Inventory Management:

Assist with tracking and organizing inventory.

•

Safety:

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.

• Light construction/small-scale projects Delivery Driver Responsibilities

•

Safe Driving:

Operate company vehicles safely and adhere to all applicable traffic laws.

•

Route Navigation:

Navigate routes efficiently and accurately.

•

Timely Deliveries:

Ensure deliveries are made on time and in a timely manner.

•

Customer Interaction:

Interact professionally with customers, handle deliveries, and resolve any issues that may arise.

•

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including refueling, checking fluids, and reporting any potential issues.

•In addition to regular yard and delivery responsibilities, team members may be assigned a variety of miscellaneous tasks to support daily operations and maintain an efficient, organized work environment. These additional duties help ensure steady workflow and provide opportunities to stay productive during slower periods.
