A Landscaping or Groundskeeping Worker provides landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Provides care for plants and trees including mowing, trimming and planting, and repairs driveways, walks, benches or other structures.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundsman and Driver to support the maintenance and transportation needs of our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for keeping the grounds clean and presentable, assisting with landscaping and basic repairs, and safely transporting staff, goods, and equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Groundsman Duties:
Maintain cleanliness and order of outdoor areas including lawns, gardens, walkways, and parking lots. Perform landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and watering. Remove litter, debris, and snow or leaves as required. Conduct basic maintenance and repairs to outdoor facilities and structures. Monitor outdoor lighting, fencing, and signage and report any damage or concerns. Assist with setup and cleanup for outdoor events or activities.
Driver Duties:
Safely transport staff, visitors, equipment, or goods to designated locations. Operate and maintain company vehicles in good working condition. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues. Ensure timely pickup and delivery of items. Maintain accurate vehicle logs and mileage records. Comply with traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in groundskeeping or general outdoor maintenance. Ability to operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.). Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in various weather conditions. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience driving vans, trucks, or other commercial vehicles. Knowledge of landscaping techniques and tools. Basic handyman or repair skills. First Aid or safety training is an advantage.
