Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and snow plows safely and efficiently. Install and repair irrigation systems to promote optimal watering practices across various landscapes. Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures to ensure durability and safety. Identify plants accurately for proper care or replacement; manage pest control using appropriate pesticide applications following safety guidelines. Follow all safety protocols diligently during outdoor work to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment. Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, landscaping equipment, and irrigation systems. Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and lawn care techniques. Experience with tree care procedures including trimming and pruning; construction experience is a plus. Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while operating equipment or performing manual tasks. Knowledge of pesticide management for pest control when necessary; certification is advantageous but not required. Strong physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, operating machinery, and working in various weather conditions.
