QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Safe Driving Record
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in general plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and general maintenance preferred
POSITION SUMMARY
To assist in keeping the District Buildings and Grounds in excellent and safe condition and perform such
other specialized jobs assigned to building maintenance personnel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate safely and efficiently multiple types of lawn care equipment. i.e. lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, shovels, rakes, brooms powered and non powered.
Repair, replace or relocate sprinklers, sprinkler lines, valves and related apparatus as directed.
Perform repair and maintenance on playground equipment, mechanical tools such as lawn mowers, building furniture, etc.
Perform snow plowing and mowing as directed. Assist building personnel as directed for summer cleaning, furniture and equipment delivery, deliver supplies, pick up trash, move furniture etc.
Operate tractors, dump trucks, backhoe etc. Other duties as assigned.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Skills at operating equipment used in industrial maintenance, common tools, etc. and adhering to safety practices
Knowledge of methods of industrial cleaning
Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
Knowledge of basic tools for minor repairs, confined space entry and boiler maintenance. Flexibility to work with others in a variety of circumstances
Ability to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups
Skills with problem solving to analyze issues and create action plans

EVALUATION
Performance on this job will be evaluated by the Buildings & Grounds Supervisor or their designee in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of certified or classified personnel.
SALARY SCHEDULE
This position will be paid according to the approved Substitute & Seasonal Salary Schedule.
