Job Description
Thompson's Landscape Maintenance is currently looking to hire Lawn Maintenance Technicians in the Grand Junction area. Pay is $17-$20 per hour based on experience. Position Summary The Lawn Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine landscape and lawn care services for residential and commercial properties. This role ensures lawns and outdoor spaces are maintained to high quality standards through mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and seasonal clean-up while providing professional customer service on job sites. Key Responsibilities Perform routine lawn maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, and pruning Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge trimmers Apply fertilizers, weed control, and other lawn treatments as directed Assist with seasonal services including aeration, overseeding, leaf removal, and spring/fall clean-ups Maintain clean and organized job sites and company vehicles Follow all safety procedures and proper equipment handling protocols Provide courteous and professional interaction with customers on-site Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and debris Support additional landscape installation or irrigation tasks as needed Qualifications Required Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the workday Preferred High school diploma or GED preferred 6+ months experience in landscaping, lawn care, construction, or outdoor labor Experience with commercial lawn equipment Knowledge of turf care, fertilization, and weed control practices Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Valid driver's license Work Environment Primarily outdoors at residential and commercial properties Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and uneven terrain Use of landscaping tools, power equipment, and company vehicles Physical Requirements Frequent walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
