Position Title:
Lawn Care & Pest Control Operations Manager Location:
St. Augustine, FL and surrounding areas
Job Type:
Full-Time Office - Hastings FL Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and licensed Lawn Care & Pest Control Operations Manager to lead and grow our turf care and pest management division. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will initially run daily application routes while laying the foundation to recruit, train, and manage a team of technicians as our client base expands. Key Responsibilities Field Operations:
Perform professional lawn fertilization, weed control, dynamic pest management, and disease diagnostic treatments across commercial and residential properties.
Route Management:
Efficiently plan, manage, and execute daily route schedules, ensuring timely applications, high-quality standards, and excellent customer satisfaction.
Property Inspections:
Evaluate turf, shrub, and tree health; diagnose pests or diseases; and provide tailored treatment recommendations to property owners.
Leadership & Team Growth:
As the division expands, assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new technicians in proper application techniques, safety protocols, and route management.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to state and federal chemical application regulations, maintaining proper chemical storage, mixing, safety procedures, and accurate job logging.
Customer Relations:
Communicate professionally with clients regarding treatment plans, property conditions, and preventative care recommendations.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in lawn fertilization and pest control application.
Licensing:
Must possess a valid Florida Commercial Fertilizer & Pest Control License (or applicable state certifications).
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Technical Skills:
Strong diagnostic skills for regional turf types, weeds, common pests, and plant diseases.
Leadership Mindset:
Strong communication skills and the motivation to transition into a team leadership and management role as operations scale.
Physical Capability:
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate application equipment proficiently.
