Hours are roughly 6:30 am to 3 pm, primarily Monday through Friday but occasionally on Saturday if needed to make up work lost during the week due to weather. Technicians inspect and treat for vegetation and algae control in canals, ponds, and lakes as well as making selective herbicide applications in conservation areas. Work done from utility vehicles and by airboat. By the end of your probationary period, you will be required to take and pass the written Aquatic Weed Control license through the State of Florida. Able to pass a law enforcement background check ( no felony convictions ) for work on our contracted sites with this requirement. Math skills, good penmanship, and clean driving record are a must. Basic math test (calculation of perimeters, surface area and volume) is included on the office employment application. Must be able to swim. Valid Florida Driver's License with relatively clean record and 6 years of driving experience. Must have experience driving a truck, trailer and operating UTVs. Must be able to back up a truck with a trailer attached. Must be in good physical condition to endure summer heat and lift 50 pound bags. Pay is dependent on experience. Experience preferred but will train. Reliable attendance is a must for scheduling and production. If not already State Certified, you will need to be by the end of your probationary period. This is a proctored exam requiring math computations. You cannot use your smart phone or AI to take the test for you. Drug-free workplace - pre-employment screening and random drug tests are administered. $600 Bonus upon

Full-time Salary:
$17/hr during training then 18.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on previous experience and production. Pay increases with your production and experience level.
