Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Golf Maintenance Operator and play a vital role in ensuring the pristine condition and optimal performance of our golf course grounds. This energetic position involves maintaining the beauty, safety, and playability of the course through expert groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, and equipment operation. Duties Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment including mowers, chainsaws, power tools, and irrigation systems to ensure healthy turf and landscape aesthetics. Perform regular turf mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and watering to promote lush, healthy fairways and greens. Manage irrigation systems efficiently by adjusting controllers, repairing leaks, and ensuring proper water distribution across the course. Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as planting, pruning, weed control, and gardening to enhance course appearance. Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting, manual handling of soil or turf materials, and use of hand tools for various landscaping projects. Apply pesticides or herbicides following safety protocols to control pests and weeds while adhering to pesticide management standards. Maintain all groundskeeping equipment through routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure safe operation. Support overall course safety by adhering to power tool safety guidelines and operating grounds maintenance machinery responsibly. Qualifications Proven experience in golf course groundskeeping or athletic field groundskeeping with knowledge of landscape maintenance practices. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is highly desirable. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as chainsaws, lawnmowers, power tools, and company vehicles safely and effectively. Knowledge of pesticide management standards and safe handling procedures for chemicals used in landscaping. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions. Basic understanding of lawn care techniques like fertilization, aeration, seeding, and general gardening practices. Commitment to safety protocols related to power tool use and equipment maintenance.
