Duties Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to maintain lawns, gardens, trees, and hardscape features Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and weed control to promote healthy growth Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues for optimal plant health Identify various plants, trees, and pests to provide appropriate care or pest management solutions Conduct safety protocol adherence during all operations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members Assist with tree trimming, shrubbery shaping, and hardscape maintenance such as installing or repairing pathways and retaining walls Support seasonal tasks like snow plowing or winterizing landscapes when necessary to keep properties accessible and well-maintained year-round Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools for safe operation and troubleshooting Extensive outdoor work experience with groundskeeping, lawn care, gardening, and landscape maintenance Ability to identify plants, pests, and signs of disease to support horticultural health Knowledge of irrigation systems installation, repair, and management for efficient water use Familiarity with pesticide management practices following safety protocols to protect plants and environment Experience operating grounds maintenance machinery including mowers, trimmers, and tree trimming tools Understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments and equipment handling This role offers a rewarding opportunity for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in landscaping and groundskeeping while contributing to the beauty of outdoor spaces.
