This is a full-time, hands-on position combining Plant Health Care, customer consultation, estimating, and sales . We are looking for someone who can evaluate plant and tree health concerns, recommend appropriate treatment programs, communicate those recommendations to customers, prepare estimates, and perform or oversee PHC treatments.
REQUIRED LICENSE
Applicants MUST currently hold an active Florida Certified Pest Control Operator license in the Lawn and Ornamental Pest Control (L&O) category. This is a required qualification for this position. Applicants who do not currently hold this license will not be considered. Responsibilities Inspect trees, palms, shrubs, and ornamental plants for health concerns. Identify insects, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, environmental stress, and other plant health problems. Develop appropriate Plant Health Care treatment recommendations. Meet with residential and commercial customers to evaluate their properties and discuss PHC needs. Prepare accurate estimates for recommended services. Explain treatment options, expectations, and ongoing PHC programs to customers. Sell PHC services and develop long-term customer relationships. Perform and/or oversee PHC applications, including appropriate fertilization, insecticide, fungicide, and other treatments. Properly mix, handle, apply, transport, and store products in accordance with product labels and applicable regulations. Maintain required treatment and pesticide application records. Monitor existing PHC customers and recommend follow-up treatments when necessary. Identify opportunities where customers may benefit from additional tree care services. Maintain PHC equipment, products, inventory, and company vehicles. Follow all company safety policies and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Coordinate with our sales, office, and production teams. QualificationsRequired Active Florida Certified Pest Control Operator - Lawn and Ornamental Pest Control (L&O). Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Knowledge of trees, palms, shrubs, ornamental plants, insects, diseases, and common plant health issues. Ability to safely perform PHC treatments and operate application equipment. Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with customers. Ability to work independently and manage daily field responsibilities. Comfortable working outdoors in Florida conditions. Preferred Previous Plant Health Care experience. Previous estimating and/or sales experience. Experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software or similar field-service/customer-management software. Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, email, scheduling software, and other technology as part of daily work. ISA Certified Arborist certification. Additional horticulture, arboriculture, pesticide, or Plant Health Care certifications. What We're Looking For This is not strictly an applicator position . We are looking for someone who understands Plant Health Care and is comfortable working directly with customers. The ideal candidate can take a PHC opportunity from beginning to end: Inspect → Diagnose → Recommend → Estimate → Sell → Treat → Follow Up You should be able to explain plant health concerns in a way customers can understand, recommend appropriate solutions without overselling, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and treatments. Because our sales and production operations rely heavily on technology, familiarity with CRM software is preferred . The successful candidate should be comfortable learning and consistently using our systems for customer information, estimates, scheduling, notes, follow-ups, and job documentation.
