Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Lawn & Grounds Maintenance Technician to maintain the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of company properties and outdoor spaces. This position is responsible for lawn care, landscaping, grounds upkeep, and basic facility maintenance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, operating landscaping equipment, performing physical tasks, and taking pride in keeping properties clean, safe, and professionally maintained. Key Responsibilities Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns across company properties. Perform routine landscaping duties, including planting, pruning, mulching, and weed control. Operate lawn and landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other maintenance tools. Remove leaves, branches, litter, debris, and other materials from grounds, walkways, and parking areas. Maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other landscape features. Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides in accordance with company procedures and applicable safety requirements. Monitor irrigation systems and report maintenance or repair needs. Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including storm cleanup and preparation for changing weather conditions. Assist with basic property and facility maintenance, including painting, minor repairs, replacing outdoor fixtures, and general upkeep. Inspect outdoor areas for potential safety hazards and promptly report maintenance concerns. Keep company vehicles, equipment, and tools clean, organized, and in good working condition. Follow established safety procedures when operating equipment, handling materials, and performing maintenance work. Assist with special projects and additional facility or grounds maintenance duties as assigned. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, sun, rain, and changing temperatures. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform physical labor throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely and efficiently operate lawn care and power equipment. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks associated with landscaping and property maintenance. Strong safety awareness and ability to follow workplace safety procedures. Experience Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, groundskeeping, property maintenance, or a related field is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience safely operating mowers, trimmers, blowers, and similar landscaping equipment preferred. Basic knowledge of lawn care, landscaping, plant maintenance, and irrigation systems. Basic repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills are a plus. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and effectively manage assigned daily tasks. Dependable, professional, and committed to maintaining high-quality work.
