Lawn & Ornamental Spray Technician The Grass Company | New Port Richey, FL Full-Time | $18-$24 per hour based on experience and qualifications The Grass Company is seeking an experienced Lawn & Ornamental Spray Technician to join our growing team serving Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough Counties. We are a locally owned professional lawn care company focused on healthy lawns, quality service, and long-term customer relationships. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys diagnosing and solving lawn and landscape problems, and wants to grow with a company that values professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail. Responsibilities Apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and other turf and ornamental treatments according to product labels and company standards Diagnose common lawn and landscape issues including weeds, insects, disease pressure, nutrient deficiencies, irrigation-related problems, and environmental stress Perform lawn, shrub, palm, ornamental, and landscape bed treatments on residential and commercial properties Monitor properties for changing conditions and communicate concerns or recommendations Maintain accurate application records, service notes, and product usage documentation Follow all product labels, safety procedures, and company application standards Maintain spray equipment, tanks, pumps, spreaders, nozzles, and assigned vehicles Communicate professionally with customers and fellow team members Assist with inventory management and contribute to improving treatment programs and overall service quality Preferred Qualifications Previous Lawn & Ornamental, Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance, pest control, fertilizer application, or related industry experience Knowledge of St. Augustine grass and other common Florida turf types Experience identifying and treating Florida lawn problems including weeds, chinch bugs, sod webworms, disease, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental stress Familiarity with shrub care, palm nutrition, ornamental pests, and Florida growing conditions Florida pesticide/fertilizer licensing or certifications are a plus Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to safely work outdoors in Florida weather conditions Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established treatment programs and application procedures Dependable, professional, and able to manage an assigned route efficiently What We Offer $18-$22 per hour based on experience and qualifications Steady, year-round full-time work Paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) Performance-based bonuses and opportunities to earn additional compensation Overtime opportunities available Company-provided uniforms and PPE Established treatment programs, professional equipment, and company support Opportunity for advancement and increased responsibility as the company continues to grow Opportunity to expand your knowledge of turf, ornamentals, pest management, irrigation, and overall lawn health A team environment that values quality, professionalism, communication, and doing things the right way Grow With The Grass Company At The Grass Company , we believe healthy lawns start with knowledgeable people who care about the results they deliver.
