Job Description

Summary of duties: Large farm in Reddick is seeking a pesticide applicator for agricultural/turf and ornamental. Time will be split between Plant nursery/Greenhouses(75%) and the farm(25%). Primary responsibilities include scouting for and identifying pests and diseases of annual and perennial crops grown in the plant nursery and executing the course of action for treatment. This position will be responsible for applying pesticides to treat weeds, pests, and diseases. Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management protocols is necessary. Secondary responsibilities include assisting with other nursery-related tasks such as propagating, trimming, weeding, cleaning, etc. At times the position may call for assisting with IPM/spray related tasks that occur elsewhere on the farm. Work schedule is five days a week. Benefits are available. This position must be able to work a full day on Saturday with the option to take one week-day(Mon-Fri) off every week. Must comply with safety and regulatory standards as directed by the EPA and Department of Agriculture.
