Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Equine Care individual to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the daily care, management, and maintenance of our horses and equine facilities. Hands-on equine experience is essential for this position. Your enthusiasm for animal care will help ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our our horses while supporting the smooth operation of Grace Under the Oaks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a lively environment, contributing to the growth of our equine program. Responsibilities You will be working 2-3 hour shifts We are currently offering 12-15 hour a week, with the opportunity for additional hours as we restructure Must be available to work at east one weekend shift every week Provide comprehensive care for horses, including feeding, grooming, veterinary assistance and monitoring health status Handle horses safely and confidently during routine activities such as cleaning stalls, administering medications Assist with facility upkeep, such as fencing repairs, stall cleaning, equipment maintenance, and ensuring safety standards are met across all farm areas Maintain cleanliness and organization of stables, barns, pastures, and equipment storage areas Follow strict safety standards in all aspects of farm operations to ensure a secure work environment for all team members. Manage manual handling tasks, especially those involving heavy lifting and animal movement, with appropriate safety protocols in place Collaborate with team members and volunteers (as well as property owners) on tasks related to equine management and farm management, to ensure efficiency and safety Experience Equine experience is absolutely required for this position Proven experience in animal husbandry with a focus on equine care management Demonstrated experience in farm or outdoor work environments Hands-on experience with animal care, livestock handling, and equine management is essential Strong outdoor work experience demonstrating physical stamina for heavy lifting and and manual tasks throughout the day Knowledge of horticulture is a plus but not required Join us in this rewarding role where your passion for animals, combined with your technical skills will make a meaningful difference.
