Stuart, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time Up to $40 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Carburetor repair for small engines Mechanical assembly Mechanic experience Blade sharpening Equipment malfunction troubleshooting Electrical systems Attention to detail Clean workspace maintenance Apprentice small engine mechanic experience Full Job Description Job Overview We are looking for a skilled and reliable Small Engine Mechanic with experience working on 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines commonly found in lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other outdoor power equipment. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Responsibilities Diagnose, service, and repair 2-cycle and 4-cycle small engines Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, carburetor cleaning, blade sharpening, belt/blade/tire replacement etc.) Troubleshoot electrical and fuel system issues Assemble and set up new equipment for customers Keep detailed records of repairs and parts used Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Experience Proven experience as a small engine or lawnmower mechanic (minimum 1-2 years preferred) Strong knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine systems Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system problems Familiarity with outdoor power equipment brands (Stihl, Echo, Shindaiwa, Toro, Hustler, Wright, etc. a plus) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Benefits Competitive pay (based on experience) Monday-Friday schedule (no nights or weekends) Family-oriented work environment Employee discounts on equipment and parts Opportunities for growth and training
