POSITION SUMMARY GL

Staffing is currently hiring reliable and hardworking individuals for a Landscaping / Invasive Plant Removal position working throughout different areas of the Florida Everglades . The primary responsibility of this position is to perform outdoor landscaping work, including cutting, removing, and treating invasive plant species . ️ This is a physically demanding outdoor position. Employees will work under direct sunlight and in outdoor conditions for extended periods.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform landscaping and vegetation removal throughout designated areas of the Everglades. Identify, cut, and remove invasive plants as instructed. Safely operate a machete as part of daily job duties. Use other landscaping tools and equipment as required. Apply designated chemical products used to treat and control invasive plants. Follow all instructions regarding the safe handling and application of chemicals. Wear and properly use all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) . Use protective equipment such as knee protection and other assigned PPE. Work outdoors under direct sunlight for extended periods of time . Work in vegetation and on uneven outdoor terrain. Follow supervisor instructions and established safety procedures. Work effectively as part of a team. Properly handle and maintain tools and equipment provided for the job.

REQUIREMENTS

� MUST have a reliable personal vehicle for transportation. � MUST know how to safely use a machete. ️ Must be comfortable working outdoors and under direct sunlight for extended periods . Must be physically capable of performing demanding landscaping and vegetation-removal work. Must be able to understand English well enough to follow work instructions and important safety procedures. Must be comfortable working throughout different areas of the Everglades . Must be willing to work with designated chemicals used for invasive plant control. Must follow all required PPE and safety procedures. Must be reliable and punctual. Must be available for the full Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM schedule . Must bring food and plenty of water for the workday.

TRAINING & EQUIPMENT

Employees will receive instructions/training regarding the proper and safe use of the chemicals and equipment required for the position . The necessary tools and equipment will be provided for the job.

IMPORTANT WORKING CONDITIONS

Before accepting this position, candidates should understand that this is not an indoor landscaping position . The work is performed throughout the Florida Everglades and involves: Direct sun and heat exposure Outdoor vegetation Uneven terrain Physical activity throughout the workday Use of a machete Use of landscaping tools Use of designated chemicals for invasive plant control Required PPE and safety procedures Candidates should arrive prepared with food and plenty of water for the workday.
