Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and health of residential and commercial landscapes through expert lawn care, landscaping, and groundskeeping practices. Your efforts will ensure vibrant, well-manicured outdoor spaces that enhance curb appeal and promote healthy plant growth. Duties Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to maintain lawns, gardens, trees, and shrubs according to project specifications. Operate landscape maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Identify various plants, trees, and pests to ensure proper care and pest management strategies are applied. Maintain landscape features including hardscape elements like pathways or retaining walls as needed. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues for optimal plant health. Apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plants while minimizing environmental impact. Conduct snow plowing or removal during winter months to keep outdoor spaces accessible and safe. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of groundskeeping and landscaping equipment operation. Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, and groundskeeping tasks. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems essential for outdoor work. Ability to identify plants accurately and understand horticultural principles for healthy landscape development. Knowledge of pesticide management practices aligned with safety standards. Experience with tree care including trimming, pruning, and health assessment. Familiarity with hardscape installation or maintenance is a plus. Excellent understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment use.
