Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Furkids is seeking compassionate and hardworking Kennel Technicians to join our team at the new Sutherlin Dog Shelter. Kennel Technicians play a critical role in ensuring the health, cleanliness, comfort, and emotional well-being of the animals in our care. The ideal candidate is reliable, team-oriented, comfortable working hands-on with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and passionate about improving the lives of homeless animals. This is a full-time role; some weekend and holiday shifts will be required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with animals, in shelter care, or kennel environments preferred
- Ability to safely handle dogs+cats of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Comfortable working in a physically active role, including lifting up to 40 lbs, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to humane animal care
- Passion for animal welfare and alignment with Furkids' mission
