Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Spray & Fertilizer Technician/Assistant Superintendent in Training to join our growing team. This is an exciting time to join The River Club, as we are just completing a full golf course remodel by renowned golf course architect Brain Curley. To support our growing new course, we have recently upgraded our fleet to include a state-of-the-art Toro 5800 sprayer with GPS capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Learn & Assist:

Work directly under a licensed technician to master proper product mixing, advanced application techniques, and safety protocols.

Apply Treatments:

Safely and precisely apply fertilizers, weed control, and insect/disease treatments across the golf course.

Operate Advance Technology:

Learn to utilize and maintain our new GPS-guided Toro 5800 sprayer.

Maintain Equipment:

Keep all application equipment, calibration tools, and storage areas clean, organized, and in top working order.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate logs of all chemical and fertilizer applications and assist with tacking inventory.

Course Support:

Once applications are complete, assist the team with essential course projects including course setup, mowing, and cultural practices, to name a few.

Required Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License:

Required to safely operate utility vehicles and spraying equipment on the property.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and walk comfortably while pushing equipment or carrying bags weighing up to 50lbs.

Reliability:

Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and a genuine desire to learn a specialized trade.

Communication skills:

Ability to strictly follow detailed written and verbal instructions to ensure chemical safety. Preferred Qualifications(Nice-to-Have): Previous experience in landscaping, lawn care, farming, golf course maintenance, or just general outdoor labor. Current Idaho Pesticide Applicator License, or ability and willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hire(with or support).

$22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
