GLO Resources is currently looking for a Lawn Maintenance Technician to work in LaPlace, LA . The pay range is between $17-$18 per hour experience dependent. The typical schedule works Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm with a 7AM daily meeting.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance in a shipyard environment ensuring that equipment, and facilities remain safe, functional, and in optimal condition. This includes routine inspections, repairs, cleaning, and general upkeep of lawn and relevant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet with supervisors to assess maintenance needs Perform lawn maintenance including cutting grass, hedging, mowing, or seeding Inspect, clean, and maintain shipyard equipment, tools, and work areas. Conduct routine checkups and preventive maintenance on lawn maintenance equipment and tools Assist with surface preparation and painting Remove debris and maintain safe, organized workspaces within the shipyard. Operate and maintain tools and heavy equipment responsibly. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies. May be assigned other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of professional experience in shipyard, lawn maintenance or related field Proficient with lawn equipment including zero turn mower, weed eater, etc. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Climbing ladders and working at heights or in confined spaces. Pushing and pulling heavy equipment and materials. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
