While experience in lawn care or landscaping is a plus, attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn are more important to us than experience. We can teach the technical side of the job—we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well with others, and wants to grow with the company. Responsibilities Perform routine lawn maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, and cleanup Complete assigned properties efficiently while maintaining company quality standards Follow job notes, property-specific instructions, and assigned routes Maintain a clean, professional appearance on all customer properties Take reasonable care to prevent damage to lawns, landscaping, structures, vehicles, and other property Communicate professionally and courteously with customers when approached on-site Report customer questions, concerns, property damage, or service issues to management Identify and report lawn, landscape, irrigation, drainage, or property issues noticed during service Properly operate company trucks, trailers, mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other equipment Perform basic daily equipment checks, including fuel, oil, tires, blades, belts, filters, and general condition Perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning as assigned, including blade changes/sharpening, air-filter service, lubrication, and other basic preventative maintenance Immediately report damaged, malfunctioning, or unsafe equipment rather than continuing to operate it Keep trucks, trailers, equipment, and work areas clean and organized Properly load, secure, and account for equipment and tools before leaving each property Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment Assist with landscaping, cleanups, seasonal work, Christmas lighting, and other company services as needed Work cooperatively with crew members and help maintain an efficient pace throughout the workday Accept instruction and feedback professionally and make corrections when needed Take initiative when appropriate rather than waiting to be told every task Help train and support newer team members as experience and responsibilities increase Represent the company professionally through quality workmanship, attitude, appearance, and customer service Requirements Valid driver's license & reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check Prior outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred. Mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment and power tools is highly desirable. Strong understanding of horticulture principles, plant identification, and landscape maintenance techniques preferred. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently while following safety protocols. Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape projects is a plus. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials when necessary (up to 75lbs).
