Job Overview Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Lawn Care Worker and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for performing a variety of lawn and landscape care tasks that enhance the aesthetic appeal and safety of outdoor environments. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work, combined with your technical skills and attention to detail, will ensure our properties are well-kept, safe, and inviting for clients and communities alike. Responsibilities Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools safely and efficiently to maintain grassed areas. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to uphold the visual appeal of outdoor spaces. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to support healthy landscape growth and pest management strategies. Conduct routine inspections of grounds for hazards or damage, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Assist with hardscape projects including the installation or repair of pathways, retaining walls, or other outdoor structures. Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or tree trimming to keep properties safe and accessible year-round. Skills Mechanical knowledge coupled with experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, power saws, and snow plows. Strong landscape maintenance skills including lawn care, gardening, tree care, pruning, and planting techniques. Familiarity with horticulture principles and plant identification to promote healthy growth. Ability to manage pesticide applications following safety protocols to control pests responsibly. Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting for efficient water use. Experience with construction or hardscape projects related to outdoor spaces is a plus. Excellent outdoor work experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence and equipment operation.
