Turf Technician Job Summary:

The Turf Technician performs specialized turf maintenance services to ensure healthy, attractive, and properly maintained turfgrass areas throughout assigned properties. This role is responsible for turf applications, monitoring turf health, operating turf care equipment, and assisting with irrigation management. The Turf Technician works closely with Grounds Maintenance Team Leaders and Production Managers to deliver services that meet the Bay Country Standard. Key Responsibilities Safely apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other turf treatment products. Monitor turf conditions and identify weeds, diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies. Operate and maintain spray rigs, spreaders, aerators, seeders, and utility vehicles. Maintain accurate application records and service documentation. Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Daily Tasks Review assigned properties and service schedule. Perform scheduled turf applications and inspections. Complete application logs and service reports. Clean and inspect vehicles and equipment. Weekly Tasks Inspect and calibrate application equipment. Review treatment schedules and inventory levels. Participate in safety meetings and training. Monthly Tasks Conduct comprehensive turf evaluations. Assess effectiveness of treatment programs. Assist with seasonal turf improvement planning.

Skills & Qualifications Experience:

1-3 years of turf management or lawn care experience preferred.

Knowledge:

Turfgrass management, weed control, irrigation systems, and pest management.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds.

Technology:

Ability to use mobile applications and company software. Work Schedule Typically Monday through Friday, with seasonal overtime, weekend work, or extended hours as required.
