Job Description:
Lawn Technicians with Metro are responsible for helping manage the grounds, horticulture, and landscape of various multi-family communities in the Columbia area.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the planting of planters, flower beds and various summer landscaping rehab projects. Care for established lawns and beds by weeding flower beds, walks and mulch beds. Assist with gathering and removing litter from grounds. Address questions or concerns with the clients if approached. Communicate customer's questions immediately with the supervisor. Clean, maintain and repair tools and equipment, as necessary. Communicate and work in conjunction with Supervisor by completing and submitting job site reports on property and equipment.
Requirements:
High School diploma or the equivalent, required. Able to provide independent transportation to company owned locations within the Columbia, Missouri area and able to legally operate a registered and properly insured vehicle. General knowledge and experience in applying herbicide and pesticide chemicals to grounds, trees, bushes, and shrubs to control weeds, insects, and plant diseases. Experience in operating appropriate hand and power tools including but not limited to shovels, rakes, gas blowers, trimmers, lawn mowers and knowledge in pruning bushes and trees.
