Job Description

North State Gardens, Inc. is looking for a Turf Care Professional. This is more than a job - it's a career for someone who loves grass and takes pride in results. We're looking for a motivated Turf Care Professional who wants to be involved, take ownership, and help us deliver the highest level of turf care to Wilmington's premier properties, including Figure Eight Island. This is a salaried position. Please provide a complete resume highlighting your turf and lawn management experience.
Responsibilities include:
Meeting with prospective clients to provide estimates and custom lawn care plans Applying liquid and granular fertilizers and pesticides to customers' lawns according to a calendar-based plan Maintaining spray equipment and spreaders as well as the company truck Working with the turf team to develop treatment strategies for the lawn care program Providing stellar customer service Monitoring inventory, placing orders, and ensuring we have what we need to get the job done right Scouting properties, tracking progress, and recommending adjustments to keep the turf looking its best Being empowered to make decisions in the field and contributing ideas that make a difference Qualifications include: Experience working with turf and turf management or equivalent (1 year minimum) Valid NC Driver's License Basic knowledge of turf and plants Willing to learn, take initiative, and grow with the company Team player with a positive attitude Strong work ethic and attention to detail Able to work in all weather conditions
Pay:
$47,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
