Are you looking for a company where your contributions matter and your career can continue to grow? Kanger Lawns is seeking a Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control Technician to join our growing team. This position focuses on lawn health, fertilizer applications, weed control, customer communication, and helping homeowners achieve healthy, attractive lawns. This is not a mowing position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, diagnosing lawn issues, solving problems, and providing exceptional customer service. About Kanger Lawns Kanger Lawns is a locally owned lawn care and landscaping company serving the Omaha area. Responsibilities Apply fertilizer and weed control products to residential and commercial properties. Identify common turf weeds, lawn diseases, insect damage, and turf health concerns. Monitor lawn conditions and recommend solutions when issues arise. Communicate professionally with customers regarding lawn conditions and service recommendations. Operate spreaders, sprayers, aerators, and other lawn care equipment safely and efficiently. Drive company vehicles between customer locations. Utilize company software to document completed services and customer notes. Maintain equipment and ensure a safe work environment. Assist with additional lawn care and landscaping duties as needed. Qualifications Previous fertilization, weed control, turf management, lawn care, pest control, groundskeeping, golf course maintenance, agricultural, or related experience preferred. Nebraska Category 4 Applicator License preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage daily routes. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Desire to learn, grow, and advance within the company. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift, carry, and move fertilizer bags, equipment, and materials throughout the workday. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the shift. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
