In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscapes through skilled operation of groundskeeping equipment and hands-on horticultural work. Responsibilities Perform lawn mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning using power tools and hand tools to ensure healthy and visually appealing landscapes. Maintain landscape features including planting beds, hardscapes, and garden areas with precision and care. Operate groundskeeping equipment such as excavators, irrigation systems, snow plows (seasonal), and other landscaping machinery safely and efficiently. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and pest management; apply pesticides following safety protocols when necessary. Install, inspect, and repair irrigation systems to promote healthy growth while conserving water resources. Conduct groundskeeping tasks including debris removal, soil aeration, fertilization, and mulching to support plant health. Follow strict safety procedures during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Assist with hardscape installation projects such as patios or walkways when needed. Support seasonal tasks like snow plowing or leaf removal to maintain year-round landscape aesthetics. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or horticulture is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment including power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and excavators is essential. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as plant identification, pruning techniques, and pest management is desirable. Experience operating irrigation systems and understanding basic horticulture principles will be advantageous. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols is required. Knowledge of hardscape installation or tree care is a plus but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to follow instructions ensures quality workmanship on every project. Pay:
