Job Description

Overview Lawn Pro America LLC has served Suffolk and Nassau County homeowners and businesses since 1984. We're looking for a experienced fertilizer technician to join our commercial crew — someone who can run application equipment, knows how to read a property, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time. This is not an entry-level position. We need a technician who has verifiable experience applying fertilizer and pesticide treatments, is comfortable operating application equipment, and knows how to leave a property clean when the job is done. Responsibilities Work as part of the commercial crew on fertilizer and pesticide applications across Suffolk and Nassau County commercial properties Operate application equipment/machinery to apply fertilizer, pre- and post-emergent weed control, grub control, and other turf treatments accurately and in compliance with label instructions and NYS/county regulations Identify common lawn issues on-site — weeds, fungus, insect damage, nutrient deficiency — and know when a condition needs to be flagged for follow-up Take clear photos of any property concerns for commercial manager Communicate promptly with the Commercial Manager on access issues, equipment issues, or anything preventing a completed service Maintain application equipment and product inventory in safe, working order Skills Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience applying lawn fertilizer/pesticide treatments professionally — required Experience operating fertilizer application equipment/machinery — required Working knowledge of Suffolk and Nassau County fertilizer application rules Valid, clean driver's license Ability to work outdoors in all seasonal conditions and lift/carry application equipment (50+ lbs) Comfortable working as part of a crew and taking direction from the
Commercial Manager Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
