LAWN CARE TECHNICIAN

Yorktown, NY $20.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience and knowledge The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation to work and good attendance record. Actual work experience in the lawn care industry is highly desirable. Good written and verbal communication skills Enthusiasm for working outdoors and in various weather conditions Ability to operate machinery Ability to meet production goals Be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds Pass a drug test and background check. Understand and operate state-of-the-art equipment Learn/understand insect & disease life cycles, nutrient cycles, plant biology, and soil biology Perform accurate and timely recordkeeping Maintain safe and controlled work environment Adhere to company safety, state and local regulations; operate, calibrate and maintain equipment A plus but not required Two year degree in agronomics, arboriculture, horticulture (or related field), or minimum three years industry/field experience Possess appropriate state pesticide applicators license, or ability to obtain one within 6 months. Knowledge of common trees & shrubs a plus but not required Must have valid driver's license Excellent written and verbal communications skills
