Job Description
GPAC is working with a well-established agribusiness in Pennsylvania that is seeking a Custom Applicator / Sprayer Operator. This position is responsible for accurate crop-input application, dependable equipment operation, and timely field service. The ideal candidate takes pride in application quality, maintains equipment carefully, and brings a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities Operate agricultural application equipment to apply fertilizer and crop-protection products Calculate application rates and complete mixing, loading, and calibration activities Follow product labels, field instructions, and applicable operating requirements Monitor weather, field conditions, and boundaries before and during application Use guidance systems, rate controls, and application-record technology Complete daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs Communicate with dispatch, agronomists, and growers regarding field progress Qualifications Experience operating sprayers, spreaders, or related agricultural equipment Working knowledge of application rates, calibration, and product handling Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently and accommodate seasonal workloads Current pesticide applicator credentials preferred; required licensing depends on assigned duties CDL and applicable endorsements preferred
