Job Description
Looking for hands-on outdoor work with room to grow? We're hiring a Field Service Technician I to help maintain stormwater systems and manage vegetation at customer sites across the region. This is a great entry-level field role for someone who enjoys physical work, learning new skills, and being part of a team. What You'll Do Perform maintenance and inspections on stormwater facilities Assist with vegetation management and herbicide applications Operate trucks, trailers, mowers, UTVs, spray equipment, and hand tools Use mobile apps to complete safety briefings and daily reports Communicate with customers and team members on job progress Follow safety, environmental, and company procedures at all times Travel to job sites (50-75%, including some overnight travel) What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and terrain Team-oriented with a strong focus on safety Comfortable using basic technology (mobile apps, reporting tools) Willing and able to travel regularly Nice to Have (Not Required): Valid driver's license and clean driving record DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one) Herbicide applicator license Ability to obtain a TWIC card Physical Requirements Lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet 8-11 hours per day Work around water, uneven terrain, and confined spaces Comfortable working around wildlife and wearing PPE Why Join Us Hands-on outdoor work with variety Training provided with opportunities for licensing and advancement Supportive team that values safety and doing the job right Opterra Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
