Job Description
Job Overview Join our team as a Lawn Maintenance Worker dedicated to keeping outdoor spaces clean, attractive, and well maintained. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for routine lawn care and property upkeep, including mowing, trimming, edging, and general outdoor cleanup. We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working outdoors. This position offers an opportunity to work independently while helping ensure each property maintains a neat and professional appearance. Responsibilities Mow lawns using push mowers, riding mowers, and other appropriate lawn equipment Edge sidewalks, driveways, walkways, flower beds, and other landscaped areas Use weed trimmers to maintain grass around fences, trees, buildings, and hard-to-reach areas Blow grass clippings, leaves, and debris from sidewalks, driveways, porches, and other areas after lawn service Remove weeds, fallen branches, leaves, and other outdoor debris as needed Maintain a clean and professional appearance of lawns and surrounding outdoor areas Safely operate lawn mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment Perform basic cleaning and routine care of lawn maintenance equipment Follow assigned lawn-care schedules and complete work within expected timeframes Identify and report damaged equipment, property concerns, or other issues requiring attention Follow all safety procedures when operating lawn equipment and working outdoors Maintain respectful and professional behavior while working on residential or commercial properties Requirements Previous lawn care, landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance experience is preferred but not required Ability to safely operate lawn mowers, weed trimmers, edgers, blowers, and other lawn equipment Ability to work independently and follow instructions Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule Strong attention to detail and pride in completing quality work Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling for extended periods Ability to lift and carry lawn equipment, supplies, and other materials as needed Comfortable working outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions Ability to follow safety procedures and properly handle lawn maintenance equipment Reliable transportation to assigned work locations may be required Valid driver's license preferred if the position requires operating company vehicles or transporting equipment Positive attitude and willingness to learn new lawn maintenance and property-care skills
