The supervisor provides direct patient care, ensures adequate staffing to deliver high-quality, timely, patient-centered services, oversees nursing care plans, provides health education, maintains documentation standards, prepares reports and evaluations, collaborates with internal and external partners, ensures compliance with nursing standards and public health policies, and manages staff schedules and clinical operations. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Nursing Supervisor Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Nursing Supervisor - Public Health Nursing Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing and at least two years experience as a Registered Nurse in Public Health Nursing OR a Masters degree or higher in Nursing and at least one year experience as a Registered Nurse in Public Health Nursing. Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license. Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees . Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job requirements. Applicants who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified. As a condition of hire you must possess a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
