Job Description
Greenhouse Associate Have you ever wondered where the plants that you purchase at your local garden center come from? Do you enjoy working outside in your garden and growing flowers? Then we have a Job for you!
Duties and Responsibilities:
At Pike Farms we are focused on associates growing their career while working in all areas of our greenhouse. As a Greenhouse Associate you will be gaining an understanding with hands-on experience of various aspects of the greenhouse:- Shipping
- Production
- Plant Maintenance By learning and mastering these areas an individual can become well-rounded and skilled in greenhouse operations, contributing to the overall success of the facility.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Prior Greenhouse experience is a Plus!
- Passion for working with plants / gardening
- Retail merchandising & stocking
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on your feet and move throughout a greenhouse for the duration of your shift.
- Must have the ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, bending, reaching, walking, pushing and pulling carts and handling and sorting of materials.
- Must be able to lift 5-10 lbs. repetitively.
- Must be able to tolerate hot and humid conditions in the greenhouse and various weather conditions outside.
