Assistant Outdoor Manager Full-Time | Benefits Eligible Baker Garden & Gift | Fargo, ND Are you passionate about plants, people, and leadership? Baker Garden & Gift is seeking an Assistant Outdoor Manager to help lead our outdoor retail operations. This full-time leadership role partners closely with the Outdoor Manager to oversee daily operations, develop team members, maintain healthy and attractive plant inventory, and create an exceptional customer experience. This position has a special focus on trees and shrubs, including inventory management, merchandising, ordering, and seasonal promotions. What You'll Do Assist in leading, training, and developing Outdoor team members Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns Provide plant care guidance and product recommendations Oversee plant maintenance, watering, and inventory accuracy Assist with receiving shipments and merchandising product displays Monitor tree and shrub inventory levels and coordinate ordering Support marketing initiatives and seasonal promotional programs Help maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment What We're Looking For Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Experience in retail, garden center, greenhouse, landscaping, or related environments preferred Knowledge of plant and tree care preferred; willingness to learn required Experience with Microsoft Office and POS systems is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work outdoors and move throughout the garden center throughout the day Comfortable working in varying weather conditions Why Join Baker?
