Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Nursery Yard Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our nursery yard, supporting daily operations, and providing exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, and develop your existing horticultural skills. This position is hourly and full time. Responsibilities Promptly greet customers, assist with plant selections, load plant materials, and process sales. Support stock organization by stocking plants, gardening supplies, and merchandise efficiently and accurately Ensure that all plants are watered appropriately, as directed by the Nursery Supervisor Engage with customers by providing knowledgeable assistance on plant identification and gardening tips Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery yard and retail area to promote safety and aesthetic appeal Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring products are well-presented Communicate effectively with team members and customers via phone or in person to address inquiries or provide guidance Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with horticulture practices is preferred Excellent communication skills Basic retail math skills for sales transactions Organizational skills to manage stocking, merchandising, and yard maintenance tasks Passion for gardening and outdoor work with a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service Ability to stand for long periods, and lift and carry plant materials

Pay:

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
