Prior experience working with houseplants is required. Experience with landscape maintenance, garden center, or greenhouse care is a plus. Both positions will start part time anywhere from 5-20+ hours a week with opportunities to grow. Plant Savvy Plant Care Specialists are responsible for the care of interior and exterior plants. A typical day of maintenance includes driving to residential and commercial clients to perform plant care such as watering, pruning, dusting, fertilizing, and pest treatment and monitoring. Technicians interact with clients, answer questions, and problem-solve plant issues. The maintenance technician will assist with plant design installations and one-off plant services which will include lifting large plants and planters at times. All supplies needed for the job will be provided.
Requirements:
1 year minimum of indoor plant care experience. A willingness to get your hands dirty! Basic knowledge of houseplants i.e. common names and general care knowledge. A willingness to learn and grow with us! We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to ask questions and has a genuine interest in learning about the trade! Must be able to lift at least 60lbs. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder. Must have a reliable vehicle. Work well within a team and independently. Monday-Friday 7am-5pm availability. There are opportunities increase to full time or grow into other sectors of the company. Must be organized and self-motivated. You are responsible for tracking hours, miles, and bringing any needed supplies to each client. You are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of your work and materials. Ability to interact and form relationships with clients. Effective communication skills. Weekly maintenance updates are mandatory. A willingness to ask for help when you need it is so important!
Preferences:
A background in customer service. Clients often ask questions about their plants. It's important that our specialists are pleasant and always willing to communicate with clients about their plants! Experience working as an interiorscaper, in a garden center, or tropical plant greenhouse is preferred!
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
