A Park Ranger leads informational programs for park visitors about the history and environmental features of public parks, and promote awareness of protecting park land. Welcomes and provides assistance to park visitors, assists with educational programs, oversees park events and activities and patrols park land.
Assisting guests while ensuring a high level of customer service. Working a variety of assigned posts and events on the museum grounds and buildings, including at the Center for Performing Arts. Patrolling buildings and 66-acre grounds on foot and by golf cart. Preserving the safety of staff, visitors, and the protection of the collection, buildings, and grounds. Monitoring for suspicious activity, potential hazards, or safety issues.
As needed:
Occasionally utilizes computers to write reports, send correspondence, and submit work orders. Handles emergencies such as medical situations, fire alarms, or emergency evacuations. Escorting staff and guests as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid Florida driver's license or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
