Department Name:
Monroe County Parks & Recreation Position Title:
Park Maintenance (Hourly/Seasonal Positions for 2025) Some experience preferred, but will train a motivated candidate. Work day begins at Karst Farm Park 2450 S. Endwright Rd. Bloomington, IN Position #1 Saturdays and/or
Sundays:
6:00/7:00 AM to 11:00/Noon Duties include cleaning restrooms, shelters & parks, driving in park vehicle to various parks, opening parks, picking up trash, talking to park visitors, and other park maintenance duties as assigned. Position #2 Monday -
Friday:
7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with an hour lunch. Average of 35 hours per week. Duties include athletic field or trail maintenance, mowing, weed eating, using motorized equipment, and other park maintenance duties as assigned. Be at least 17 years old. Pass a criminal background check. Possess a valid driver's license. Ability to lift at least 50lbs. Ability to work in the heat, cold, & wet conditions
Salary:
$15.25 per hour.
