Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW
The Park Assistants for the Ohio Township Park and Event Center are responsible for performing maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of park facilities, such as the event center, pavilions, playgrounds, bathrooms, spray park, trail, and lake.
DUTIES:
Coordinate with Park Manager to set up, and clean up events Communicate with park patrons, respond to inquiries, provide information and assistance, and enforce park rules and regulations Perform mowing, trimming, and cleaning as needed Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
: Possession of a valid driver's license and a demonstrated safe driving record Preference given to those with park and maintenance experience Basic maintenance and sanitation experience is a plus Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand and walk for long periods, stoop, kneel and climb ladders up to 15 feet Hands-on experience with equipment such as a variety of hand/power tools, tractor, mower, chainsaw, weed eater, blower, snow removal equipment and other tools are preferred Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and with others in a team environment Regularly work weekends or extended hours as needed This position is part time - working no more than 1000 hours per year.
Pay:
$17.50 - $20.50 per hour
