Position Details:
  • Part-time position - 20 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday
  • Morning shift - 4 hours per day
  • Starting wage: $13.00 per hour
  • Wage increase following successful completion of a 90-day probationary period
Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Water sampling and testing
  • Water plant maintenance
  • Reading water meters
  • Posting shut-off notices (red tags)
  • Water service shut-offs and meter repairs
  • PA One Calls
  • Filter evaluations
  • Assisting with water main breaks and leak repairs
  • Light sewage plant sampling and maintenance
  • Pulling and cleaning sewage pump stations
  • Chemical filling and related maintenance duties
  • General labor and utility system support as needed
Applicant Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must be dependable and able to work well with others
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be capable of physical labor and lifting when necessary
  • Must be available for emergency on-call situations
  • Must maintain a valid phone number for emergency contact purposes
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check, including any checks deemed necessary by the HRRMA Board, which may include fingerprinting and Megan's Law clearances This position offers hands-on experience in municipal water and sewage operations.
