Description Hawthorn Redbank Redbank Municipal Authority (HRRMA) is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Utility Worker.
Position Details:
- Part-time position - 20 hours per week
- Monday through Friday
- Morning shift - 4 hours per day
- Starting wage: $13.00 per hour
- Wage increase following successful completion of a 90-day probationary period
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Water sampling and testing
- Water plant maintenance
- Reading water meters
- Posting shut-off notices (red tags)
- Water service shut-offs and meter repairs
- PA One Calls
- Filter evaluations
- Assisting with water main breaks and leak repairs
- Light sewage plant sampling and maintenance
- Pulling and cleaning sewage pump stations
- Chemical filling and related maintenance duties
- General labor and utility system support as needed
Applicant Requirements:
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be dependable and able to work well with others
- Basic computer skills required
- Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be capable of physical labor and lifting when necessary
- Must be available for emergency on-call situations
- Must maintain a valid phone number for emergency contact purposes
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check, including any checks deemed necessary by the HRRMA Board, which may include fingerprinting and Megan's Law clearances This position offers hands-on experience in municipal water and sewage operations.
